It’s a record: 38,708 electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles were registered in June 2021 in France. According to the latest Avere report, registrations jumped 71% compared to June 2020. They now represent 15.7% of the automotive market. At the regional level, Île-de-France is ahead with 7,955 registrations in June 2021 (including 4,070 electrics).
Private individuals represent more than half (56%) of electric car buyers. The trend is reversed for plug-in hybrids, with companies accounting for 71% of buyers.
“At the same time, the milestone of 600,000 rechargeable electrified vehicles in circulation has been passed,” says Cécile Goubet, General Delegate of Avere-France. For her, the statistics are still to be monitored this month, given the adoption on July 1 of the reduction of 1,000 euros in the ecological bonus.
